The Little Looster is a "Booster for the Loo". It is the creation of a mother of three from Oregon who designed it after getting her three children potty trained and realizing that there had to be a better and/or easier way. I have to say, I was very excited to try this out on the boys. They definitely need some help getting on the potty and sometimes it is tough to drop everything and run to get them seated in time.
The Little Looster is a u-shaped stool that "hugs" the base of the toilet. It is an extension of the toilet and, unlike other stools, does not need to be moved around when the adults need to use the potty (did I just use potty when talking about adults using the bathroom?? Yes, I am in "mommy mode"!!). It also rids that "oogy" feeling I would get watching the boys try and climb onto the toilet by grabbing onto the seat....ewwww! Finally, it gives a foot rest for those little feet. No more dangling legs!
I really like how the Little Looster provides a good foot rest for child when they are seated. How uncomfortable it must be to have your legs just dangle! I also really liked how the Little Looster omits the need for a little potty chair (I am not big fans of those). I wish I had the Little Looster right from the start of potty training the boys. They like to stand now and I have to remind them NOT to stand on the "LL" when they use the bathroom. The standing around the Little Looster has taken a little getting used to for them because they are used to being right up next to the seat but we are getting there. I have a feeling this will be a great stool when I train my daughter who, obviously, will be sitting all the time.
So for me, the Little Looster, does make the potty training process easier. There is no need for extra potty chairs and your child is more comfortable which is so important when you are starting out. You can purchase the Little Looster here for $39.99. I am pleased to say that Little Looster is providing Reviewed By Mom's readers a chance to win a "Booster for the Loo" of their own. My son is short so while he loves sitting on the potty (hasn't actually done anything up there yet), he can't get up by himself.
I follow your blog.
This would be super helpful because my daughter hates to sit straight on the potty and always complains about the position of the stool.. With a stool that hugs the toilet I wont have to worry about it getting kicked around as easy and getting in the way :D

Would not only give my daughter motivation to use the big toilet but also an incredible sense of independence! The little looster is also more environmentally friendly... if my daughter goes directly on the toilet then I won't have to continually use harsh chemicals cleaning her little potty :)
my little grandson would love this-even though he is a little over a year old, he loves to take off his diapers and sit on the toilet like the big adults do. This would allow him to get up there with minimal help and give him some kind of stability so that potty training won't seem so darn scary!

This would be great because my daughter is afraid of sitting up on the potty with her legs dangling off. This seems like a great design for giving kids confidence.
I so need this! Our son is scared of the big potty - we neeeeeed this!

i would love to have this.my soon is still working on potty training and will only stand.i like that it attaches to the toliet so the stool won't slide away while he is standing there.we have had this happen a few times.

i think this would help my daughter feel more comfortable on the potty... and i like that she might be able to get up to the potty by herself!

This is so handy and isn't bulky so you can keep it there all the time. No more rushing to get the stool in front of the potty ... tiffypoot@aol.com

My nephew will be 3 next week and is still not potty trained. He thinks the toilet is too far up so this would really help him feel more stable if he could put his feet on the stool.

I just bought our first potty, but my son thinks it's a seat, he pushes himself all the way back to perch on the tiny lip. Maybe if he could reach the large potty, it would make more sense to him? :) silenttributary(at)yahoo(.)com
It would help my daughter balance herself without touching the toilet seat

This stool would be super helpful b/c it would stay out of the way when it is in its spot! How cleaver that it hugs the toilet so adults can still use w/o moving it!

We are about ready to start potty training my grandson. I think the Little Looster would be great in that it will help him climb up on the big potty, keep his legs from dangling, and not have to be moved out of the way when anyone else needs to use the bathroom.

I have a 2 year old boy that has tested out the potty a few times. We have a small bathroom so trying t squeeze a training toilet in there doesn't work so well and I learned what mess they can be when my two girls trained. This looster is exactly what I need!
This will work because it will motivate my little one to remain seated on the toilet

This would helpful as we start preparing the bathroom for Toilet Bootcamp....I mean potty training! The toilet is always too high for little ones, and it would be easier in helping my son do as much as he can by himself!
