I was recently sent an adorable, just released book to review....Sock 'n Boots Share. Sock 'n Boots is a new
series for children with a goal to make story time more interactive and providing opportunities for parents and caregivers to bond with their children. Sock 'n Boots Share by D.K. Smith is the first in this new series.
Sock 'n Boots is a delightful book that starts with a question "Do you know why you should share?". The adorable characters of Sock (a gym sock) and Boots (a brown boot) then take you and your child along on a story that helps your child answer that question. The story is simple...a bird eats Sock's lunch while he and Boots are at play and Socks is upset by this. In turn Boots shares his lunch with Socks therefore making him happy and showing your child that sharing makes people happy. The simple premise is perfect for a pre-schooler and the rhyming story is fun to read and keeps children engaged. The illustrations by Lorena Isabel are
great....very vibrant and expressive. A&W really enjoy this book and I like the positive message it sends. Sock 'n Boots Share is a great book to introduce your child to the concept of sharing with a pair of fun characters. I am already looking forward to Sock 'n Boots next adventures and lessons!

It would be good to have a book that talks about why you shouldn't talk about others behind their backs.
