Green Toys...Review & Giveaway

I think you all know how much I try and do my part to be environmentally smart.  I turn off the lights, don't fill the world with oodles of water bottles and I "try" not to take marathon long showers.  I am now happy to say that I can add that I have toys in my toy box that are "green" as well.

Green Toys are toys which are made from 100%  recycled plastic....how great is that??  In fact the main "ingredient" are the plastic milk jugs we all have in the fridge! You are probably thinking "how cute can toys made from trash really be?"  Well, check these out...

Aren't these just adorable?  The lovely people at Green Toys sent me over these two toys to try out with my kiddos...

First let me address the Green Toys Stacker.  This is like the classic stacker toy that has the center post for the child to put rings one.  Am I alone in that the center post gives me high anxiety??   The Green Toys Stacker has no center post!  It has eight colored nesting pieces that can be stacked in any order. It also has no BPA, PVC, phthalates, or external coatings.  Baby R loves this toy and I love that my little "mouther" can chew away and I don't need to sweat it over what nasty chemicals she may be ingesting!  This toy is super durable, nice to look at and, like all Green Toys is made in the USA. 

Now for the Green Toys Sand Play Set....wow!  This one is a real gem.  We spend summers here at the beach and I can't tell you how many sand sets have cracked and snapped within days of purchase.  Not this set!  It is SO durable and well made!  It made it through a month of the beach plus some serious outdoor mud digging...very impressive stuff!  I really love the soft colors of this set and it really looks as good today as the first day we got it (once you brush the mud off!).

Green Toys is the kind of place you can really feel good about making purchases from.  They have a great selection of SAFE, Made in the USA toys for children.  It can really be summed up as simply as this...
