Happy Holidays with....The Farm Chicks Christmas!

Part of Making Merry for me is getting the house all decorated and festive.  I really enjoy adding new decorations each year and I especially like being able to have the kids participate as well.  Making Merry means looking the part too!  I have a fantastic new book just filled with inspiration and ideas for making your home more festive for the holidays...The Farm Chicks Christmas by Serena Thompson.

The Farm Chicks Christmas is broken up into chapters covering everything from trimming the tree, decorating with wreaths and garlands, tips for wrapping gifts and creative packaging idea to delicious holiday recipes.  Serena Thompson has you covered!  Right off the bat I loved how this book was filled with full colored pages with the most beautiful pictures of holiday decorating ideas.  Some things I was inspired by?  A holiday yarn ball wreath (so quaint and lovely and SO easy the kids can help out too!), using unsweetened coconut as "snow" in holiday displays (brilliant!), clever shipping ideas for out of town gifts (peppermints as packing material!) and pom-pom ornaments (even Baby R can't break those!).  I could go on and on here.  This book is a gem!

Not only did I enjoy the fabulous ideas but I also enjoyed the authors charming stories and traditions peppered throughout the book.  It was if I was sitting down with an old friend!  I give a big thumbs up to The Farm Chicks Christmas and will proudly leave it out on display during Christmas so everyone will know where I suddenly learned to be so creative.  I think I will call my self an honorary Farm Chick!  Become a Farm Chick like me and pick up your own copy of The Farm Chicks Christmas today on Amazon...
