Heart of Haiti....

This coming Wednesday, January 12th marks the one year anniversary of the absolutely devastating earthquake in Haiti.  I remember being glued to the television, simply blown away by the images with my heart breaking for the people there.   The Haitians are still working to rebuild their lives, one year later and it is an uphill battle as a result of the complete devastation with they are still faced with.

Macy's is helping the people of Haiti rebuild their lives with the Heart of Haiti Project.   Haitian artists are creating some beautiful pieces which are now being sold at Macy's.  Check out a couple of my favorites....

Beautiful, right?  Here is more information on how the Heart of Haiti is working...

Purchasing one of these handcrafted masterpieces directly benefits Haitian artisans by allowing them to support their families with dignity and purpose. Artisans receive 22 percent of the retail price for each item in the collection.
This initiative offers the first sustainable income since the earthquake, enabling artisans to repair homes, pay school fees and feed and clothe their families. With steady income comes better nutrition, improved education and access to healthcare.

These products are, without question, purchases you can feel good about.  Check out the selection at Macy's and pick out a favorite from one of these very talented artists and help the people of Haiti put their lives back together.  What a wonderful program and cause!

I was selected for this very special “CleverHaiti” opportunity by Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity. All opinions are my own.
