Shabbat Shaboom by Mama Doni...Review & Giveaway!

There is a new CD in our car rotation these days...Shabbat Shaboom by Mama Doni!  I love listening to all types of music and have such fun exposing the kids to a great variety.  Mama Doni is self-described as "funky music with a Jewish twist".  I could not wait to have a listen.

Mama Doni is SO MUCH FUN.  She is pure energy and right away the kids and I were bee bopping along in the car.  The sound is a mix of pop and funk and the kids LOVE this CD and so do I.  Mama Doni does sing about things from the Jewish culture like lighting the Shabbat candles and Bat Mitzvahs but her songs also are completely relateable to ALL families.  In My Mishpocha she sings about her crazy and fun family which I am sure we are all a happy part of and she sings about giving thanks in our personal favorite, Mazel Tov.

I am convinced Shabbat Shaboom by Mama Doni will be a huge hit with everyone in your family...I dare you not to car dance along!!  She has already had great success with past releases and has been seen on Good Day New York, Weekend Today in New York, Shalom TV and The Soup!  It seems Reviewed By Mom is in good company in being a Mama Doni fan!

You can pick up your own copy of this Shabbat Shaboom by clicking here.

Angelina Ballerina: Ballet Dreams...Review & Giveaway!

When I was a little girl, I loved taking ballet lessons.  Like all little girls I know, I wanted to be a ballerina.  Actually, in my mind I WAS a prima ballerina dancing her heart out each week at Mrs. Devoe's basement dance studio.  I can't wait to see if Baby R takes a big interesting in dancing because, if she does, I will happily enroll my own little twinkle toes in ballet classes.  Meanwhile, Baby R (and her big brothers...shhhh!) enjoys watching the adorable little mouse, Angelina dance her hear out and so do I.  The Angelina Ballerina shows are based on the lovely books penned by Katharine Holabird.  The shows, like the books, focus on dancing as well as positive messages like kindness, sharing, being yourself and confidence making for a great watch for the younger set.  I was recently sent the latest Angelina DVD, Angelina Ballerina:  Ballet Dreams to check out.  Here is the scoop...

Join Angelina Ballerina, Camembert Academy’s shining star as she finds her way in her new school, puts together her own show and tries to land a leading role in the Mouskinov Ballet. Angelina continues to blossom as a young mouseling as she adjusts to her new teacher’s style and learns the importance of being a patient big sister. Prepare to pirouette along with everyone’s favorite ballerina in these sparkling stories!

Episodes:

* “Angelina’s New Home”
* “Angelina’s New Ballet Teacher”
* “Angelina En Pointe”
* “Angelina’s Ballet School”
* “Angelina and the New Music Store”

Baby R is definitely on the young side to "get" the plots of Angelina Ballerina but she definitely enjoys watching the engaging characters.  My boys actually enjoy watching this show and I certainly don't think Angelina needs to be for girls only.  In this DVD Angelina tackles things that hit home for all children like moving and a new school...this is something all kids can relate to!

Angelina Ballerina is a super cute show and this DVD collection would make a great addition to your child's DVD collection.  You can pick it up today on Amazon for just $10.99...

Enjoy Life Foods Cookies...Review!

I know I have mentioned before that W has a nut allergy.   This makes snack foods kind of dicey....we have had to be pretty savvy about reading labels.  When I find a company who I don't have to agonize over their labels you had better believe I breathe a big sigh of relief.  When the company actually makes food our family enjoys I practically do cartwheels.  Enjoy Life Foods is a company I can trust to be nut fee and yummy.  Bonus!

Enjoy Life Foods is a company whose products contain none of the 8 most common allergens (wheat/gluten, dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, egg, soy, fish or shellfish).   The plant where all of Enjoy Life Foods are processed is also dedicated solely to being allergen free as well so there is no fear of cross contamination.  Enjoy Life Foods makes a wide variety of foods such as cereals, cookies, granola, trail mixes, snack bars, bagels and more.  This is great news for those limited to what they can eat because of food allergies!   They recently revamped their cookie recipes and we were lucky enough to taste test a few different varieties.

We were sent Snickerdoodle, Lively Lemon and Double Chocolate Brownie.  It was so sweet when the package arrived because W saw the logo and knew right away these were safe choices for him!  We of course dug right in (this is important business!) and the kids declared each of the three varieties "YUMMY".  I will say this...the cookies are quite moist and dense so they are not a typical "crumbly" cookie.  This did not affect the taste at all or put my kids off but if you have someone particularly sensitive to texture this may be an issue.  While all three varieties were a hit with us, the crowd favorite was Snickerdoodle...double yum on those!

Visit Enjoy Life to check out all the available varieties and find out where you can buy your own stash.  Happy snacking! Pin It

Celebrate Earth Hour With Pocoyo!

Tomorrow is Earth Hour and I will be proudly participating along with my kiddos and their little buddy Pocoyo is making it more understandable to them.  Pocoyo is the children's Earth Hour ambassador this year making the event more accessible to children.  Here are the details and ways you can get involved....

WHAT IS EARTH HOUR?
Earth Hour is driven by the global community’s will to protect the planet we share. Earth Hour’s exponential growth – from a single-city initiative in 2007 to a global movement across 128 countries in 2010 – is indicative of the growing desire for a cleaner, healthier world that is gathering momentum by the hour.  At 8.30pm on Saturday 26 March 2011, Earth Hour will mark a moment of global contemplation to go beyond the hour; a collective commitment by individuals throughout the world to be the ongoing change they want to see in it.

Earth Hour 2011 will ask the world to:
·      Switch off your lights for Earth Hour at 8.30pm, Saturday 26 March 2011 and celebrate your commitment to the planet with the people of the world
·      Sign up and Share stories of your actions that benefit the planet on earthhour.org
·      Sustain your actions beyond the hour – www.beyondthehour.org
HOW DO WE INVOLVE OUR CHILDREN?
In a bid to extend the message to young children and their caregivers, the Earth Hour organization has appointed the globally loved animated character Pocoyo as the first Global Kids’ Ambassador of Earth Hour, Beyond the Hour.  Pocoyo will reach out to millions of preschool-aged fans across the globe, fostering “Learning through Laughter,” to inform children about environmental issues.

Parent and their caregivers can find a fun activity book, promo, screensavers and wallpaper at http://www.pocoyo.com/earth_hour_2011.html

Parents, caregivers and their children EVERYWHERE can support the initiative by throwing an Earth Hour Party Celebration to help spread the word on saving our environment.  Don't forget the flashlights!

I hope you all choose to participate and to include your little ones as well!  Happy Earth Hour!!

Wishbone...Review & Giveaway!

By now you all know how much I love books.  I am an absolute bookworm hoping to raise my three children to love books as I do.  So far so good...all three love being read to and it is one of our favorite things to do together.  When I come across different means to spark an interest in books and in reading I am all over it.  Anything to keep the love of books alive!  When I was approached to do a review of the series, Wishbone, I was excited about it because it is centered around classic novels.  As told by a Jack Russel Terrier....obviously!  I couldn't wait to sit down with the kids to watch.  Here is the scoop...

If you’re ready for a terrier-ific time jumping into beloved tales such as Robin Hood and Hunchback of Notre Dame, all told through the eyes of an adorable Jack Terrier pup, then Wishbone is for you! Entertainment Weekly coined Wishbone as “One of our Favorite Series on DVD featuring Talking Animals!”  This TV series, which aired on PBS, features a live-action Jack Russell Terrier who imagines himself as the hero of famous classic novels and invites his audience to come along. The tale-wagging pup has picked up 11 awards, including four Emmys and a Peabody. He appeared in People Magazine and on “The Tonight Show.” He's even been part of a “Jeopardy!” category. In short -- so to speak -- this sartorial storyteller has become a popular icon. And it all started because of a little dog with a big imagination.

DVD SYNOPSIS

Let your imagination run wild with everyone’s favorite dog Wishbone! The adventurous little terrier takes four action-packed journeys in these beloved classic tales. Join the Merry Men and follow Robin Hood in the Paw Prints of Thieves as he takes from the rich to give to the poor.  In Hot Diggety Dawg and The Impawssible Dream, band together with Don Quixote and Jules Verne’s Professor Liedenbrock to battle giants and monsters. In Hunchdog of Notre Dame, escape danger as Wishbone rescues maidens and defeats his evil master. This clever pup with a nose for adventure will delight and inspire the whole family.

This show is seriously cute!  I mean come on...what is not to love about a feisty Jack Russel in costume??  AND he loves literature....BONUS!  A&W were really interested in the stories and were captivated by the tails (I couldn't resist!).   They really loved the Robin Hood episode and I have already promised to read them the "real" story soon.  One thing I want to mention is that this show is recommended for ages 2-5 and I would have to disagree with that range.  I would say it is more appropriate for children aged 4-8.  The stories being told take a little more concentration than the average 2 or 3 year old has and I think it has more appeal for older children.

You can pick up Wishbone today on Amazon...

One lucky RBM reader will win a copy of Wishbone!  Here is how to enter...

Dance First. Think Later by Kathryn and Ross Petras...Review & Giveaway!

I have this wonderful, new book to tell you about today...Dance First.  Think Later. by Kathryn and Ross Petras.  This one is a gem...it is filled with "618 Rules To Live By".  It is filled with the most wonderful, inspirational quotes you are likely to find all packed into a handy, little book.  This one lives on my nightstand right now!  Here is the scoop...

Timeless in their wisdom, thought-provoking in their message, surprising in their truth and memorable in their originality, the right words can give direction, inspiration, and sometimes a tangible boost onto the right path. For example, Steve Jobs once read “Stay hungry Stay foolish” on the back cover of The Whole Earth Catalog, and those four words came to guide his life.

Created by Kathryn and Ross Petras, connoisseurs of quotes, whose books and calendars have over 56 million copies in print,
“Be Yourself. Everyone Else Is Already Taken” is a collection of the greatest life wisdom from an unexpected group of speakers, doers, and thinkers. There are 618 rules to live by—funny, sly, declarative, thoughtful, offhanded, clever, and always profound.

Some of my favorite quotes?  In no particular order...

"If you obey all the rules you miss all the fun"...Katherine Hepburn (I think this must the mantra of my kids!!)

"It ain't as bad as you think.  It will look better in the morning"  Colin Powell

"We are all bozos on the same bus, so we might as well sit back and enjoy the ride" Wavy Gravy (clown)

Watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you, because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places.” Roald Dahl

Aren't those just great??  Some of these quotes have really helped me put things perspective when I am having a bad day and many of them have given me a good chuckle (see what Jerry Seinfeld says about fun for the whole family!!).  This one is great for anyone needing a boost or a reminder to "not sweat the small stuff".  You can pick up a copy today for only $8.95 by clicking here.

Spanish for Kids: Las Estacions (The Seasons)...Review & Giveaway!

I am always in awe of the little sponges that are the minds of children.  Each day, every minute, is a celebration of discovery and learning.  It really is amazing to witness.  When I was approached to do a review for a new children's DVD, Spanish for Kids:  Las Estacions (The Seasons) I jumped at the opportunity.  As a person who did not get any exposure to a foreign language until high school and really struggled, I wondered if an earlier introduction would be more positive.  No offense of Sister Frances Claire but the only thing I remember from French is how to say the Hail Mary and it is not everyday someone asks me to recite that for them!  So, as I said, I was excited to introduce A&W to a foreign language in what looked like a fun and engaging way.  Here is the scoop...

Winter, spring, summer or fall, there’s no better time for children to learn Spanish. And, it’s never been easier thanks to the Spanish for Kids DVD series and its latest release, Las Estaciones (The Seasons) – available March 22, 2011.

Produced by Whistlefritz, Spanish for Kids is an award-winning Spanish immersion DVD series featuring the adorable Fritzi, a lovable, animated mouse who interacts with live-action adults and children to help teach Spanish. In Las Estaciones (The Seasons), Fritzi wants to celebrate his birthday, which comes in the Fall. With the help of his friend Maria, young viewers learn about the many joys associated with all four seasons, from sledding and snowball fights in winter (el invierno), to trick-or-treating in autumn (el otoño). It’s a year-round celebration for young viewers to enjoy with Fritzi and all his Whistlefritz friends!

Winner of more than 20 awards, Whistlefritz was founded in 2006 by a mom who wanted to teach her own children Spanish, but was frustrated by the lack of high-quality Spanish immersion programs. Building on the belief that switching back and forth between English and Spanish during the learning process makes it harder for a child to master the new language, Whistlefritz DVDs engage children in “Spanish immersion”: learning by hearing and speaking Spanish without any English translation.

Research has shown this Spanish immersion teaching technique to be the most effective way to teach young children a second language. Each upbeat program in the Spanish for Kids DVD series combines whimsical storylines, colorful animation and graphics, delightful characters, live action footage, and irresistible Latin music that children will want to experience again and again.

A&W were really into this DVD.  I was a little apprehensive about the DVD being only in Spanish but this was not a problem at all for the kids.  The characters are fun and with "real life" pictures as well as animation the kids were kept engaged.  The songs were lots of fun too and even Baby R enjoyed those parts.  A&W were definitely repeating some of the Spanish words and, I think, with more watching they will pick up even more.  This is a great introduction to a foreign language and different from anything else I have seen on the market.  You can pick it up today on Amazon...

One lucky RBM reader will win the just released (today!) Spanish for Kids:  Las Estacions!  Here is how to enter...

Mandatory Entry: Leave a comment below telling me if you have introduced a second language to your child. You must complete this entry for all extras to count.

Dinosaur Train Celebrates National Nutrition Month...Giveaway!

Did you know March is National Nutrition Month?  As a parent, I think it is so incredibly important to teach my children positive eating habits and to set good examples for them.  Anything I can do to help my children have a positive and healthy relationship with food is high on my list and I am always pleased when I see new ways to deliver the message to the kiddos.  When I heard one of A&W's very favorite shows was working to send the healthy eating message along I was thrilled.  Read on...

March is National Nutrition Month®, a nutrition education and information campaign created annually in March by the American Dietetic Association. The campaign focuses attention on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits. This year's National Nutrition Month theme, “Eat right with Color,” encourages everyone to remember to include a colorful variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins and dairy on their plates every day.

A healthy diet is important to us all, just as it was to Dinosaurs many years ago.  With the month of March focusing on nutrition, it’s  the perfect  time to look at some great ideas and resources provided by The American Dietetic Association to eat a healthy diet!    And, we invite you to to teach your child how to prepare a vegetarian (herbivore) picnic filled with great food and fun by visiting Dinosaur Train on the PBS parent’s site: http://www.pbs.org/parents/dinosaurtrain/activities/handson/picnic.html

To help parents, the American Dietetic Association provides many resources available at www.eatright.org/nnm .  They even have a downloadable PDF (http://www.eatright.org/NNM/content.aspx?id=11421 ) listing 25 healthy snacks for kids, including these five great ideas:

1. Peel a banana and dip it in yogurt. Roll in crushed cereal and freeze.
2. Spread celery sticks with peanut butter or low-fat cream cheese. Top with raisins. Enjoy your “ants on a log.”
3. Stuff a whole-grain pita pocket with ricotta cheese and Granny Smith apple slices. Add a dash of cinnamon.
4. Mix together ready-to-eat cereal, dried fruit and nuts in a sandwich bag for an on-the-go snack.
5. Smear a scoop of frozen yogurt on two graham crackers and add sliced banana to make a yummy
sandwich.

Next, Buddy can help you and your child prepare a vegetarian (herbivore) picnic. The Have A Brachiosaurus Picnic activity (http://www.pbs.org/parents/dinosaurtrain/activities/handson/picnic.html ) helps young children to learn what foods fit into an herbivore's diet (fruits and vegetables); reminds children about the importance of hand washing before eating; and also creates an opportunity to discuss why all animals need to eliminate waste from their bodies (a.k.a. “poop”).

The downloadable PDF file, available at http://www.pbs.org/parents/dinosaurtrain/activities/pdfs/picnic.pdf , provides the ingredients to prepare Brachiosaurus Picnic, with fun food items on the menu, including:

o  Brachiosaurus Super Salad: The kids will have fun tearing up green leafy veggies into bite-size pieces and mixing ranch dressing with green coloring to make a tasty topping.
o  Sauropod Sandwich: With a plastic knife, cut pieces of whole wheat bread in the shape of a favorite dinosaur and spread with cheese spread or peanut butter.
o  Herbivore Herb and Spinach Spread: Mix frozen spinach, dried onion soup mix, sour cream, celery sticks and crackers
o  Green Juice – fill a child’s plastic cup with apple juice and add green food color to make a green beverage fit for an herbivore.

And as we all know, digestion is a very important part of keeping healthy for both humans…and dinosaurs back in the day! Click thttp://www.pbs.org/parents/dinosaurtrain/videos/video-dinosaurpoop-song.htmltowatch the video clip of the song “Every Dinosaur Poops” and talk about why every animal needs to go, and what would happen if the animal didn’t poop out the parts of the food its body didn’t need.

Another fun way to explore “poop” is with Uncle Milton’s new Dinosaur Train Dino Poop Kit, just one of a range of new science themed toys geared to make science more interesting, engaging and accessible for children. With the Dino Poop kit, kids can discover what the dinosaur had for lunch!  Did he have fish or did he eat a plant?  Once kids find pieces of what he ate, they can put them together to create their own fossil imprint to figure it out!  It’s OK parents, it's not real poop…it's soft, pliable dino dough!  Available at Toys”R”Us (SRP: $7.99, ages 4+)

Tips from World Vision...

Like all of you, I am sure, I have been watching what is happening in Japan with a heavy heart.  I try to limit turning on the TV when the kids are around in general but especially when there are things that might be disturbing to them on the screen.  I do recognize that I won't be able to shield my kiddos forever (hate that!) so I was happy to receive this e-mail from World Vision, a company I partnered up with for my holiday event back in November.  They passed along these tips for helping children cope and I thought some of you with little ones might find this helpful as well...

How to talk to kids about tragedies, disasters: Tips from World Vision

WASHINGTON, 16 March 2011- As information increases about the devastation of Japan's earthquake and tsunami, our children will likely see disturbing news footage and have questions about this tragedy. Below are several suggestions on how to talk with children about this disaster and its impact.

These tips are provided by humanitarian organization World Vision. World Vision has worked in Japan for more than two decades and responded to the massive Kobe earthquake in 1995, and now has staff assisting in the relief efforts in Sendai.

1. Start by listening.
Find out what your child already knows. You can then respond in an age-appropriate way. The aim is not to worry them with the devastating details, but to protect them from misinformation they may have heard from friends or disturbing images they may have seen on television.

2. Provide clear, simple answers.
Limit your answer to the question asked and use simple language.

3. If you don't know the answer, admit it.
If your children ask questions that you can't answer, tell them so, and then do some research to try and help them sort it out. If they ask "Why did this have to happen?" don't be afraid to say "I don't know." The reassurance offered can be invaluable in helping your child sort through the truth that awful things happen.

4. Follow media reports or online updates privately.
Young children in particular are easily traumatized and seeing or hearing about the horrifying details of the quake may be more than they can cope with. Adults, too, should ensure they are dealing with their own emotions by talking to others, so they can continue to respond well to their children's needs.

5. Concentrate on making them feel safe.
When tragedies occur, children wonder if the same event could happen in their hometown. If it was an act of nature that could not be repeated in your area, tell children that. Placing themselves in the situations of victims is not all bad-it is a sign of empathy, an essential life skill, but watch for signs of excessive worrying.

6. Give children creative outlets.
Some children may not be prepared to speak about what they have heard, but may find drawing or other creative activities helpful to deal with their emotions and stress. Their drawings can be helpful starting points for conversation.

7. Model involvement and compassion.
Tell your child that, as a family, you will be helping the people in Japan by giving a donation to a reputable charity such as World Vision.

8. Give your child a chance to be involved.
Being involved in the solution will help relieve some of their anxiety. Invite them to contribute to the family's gift by giving something out of their piggy bank.

Curly Girl: The Handbook by Lorraine Massey....Review & Giveaway!

Do you see that picture of me in the upper left hand corner of this page?  Well, that really is me but, truth be told, the hair is a sham.  It is technically my real hair, however, it is flat ironed right into submission.  My hair is curly/wavy and overall, ahem, unruly.  When I was contacted to do a review of a new book, Curly Girl:  The Handbook by Lorraine Massey, I nearly wept with joy.  Please, someone, help me with this hair of mine that seems to have a mind of it's very own!

Curly Girl is packed with unique and fail-proof hair-care methods, inspiration, and an empowering pro-curl attitude. It’s all here: daily routines for Botticelli, fractal, and wavy curls; Lorraine’s no-more-shampoo epiphany—handle your hair as gently as you do your best cashmere sweater; homemade lotions and potions. New to this edition: an illustrated, step-by-step guide to trimming your own hair (Remember: It’s not what you take off; it’s what you leave on.); a section on the particular needs of wavy hair; Lorraine’s Down-and-Dirty Curly Boy Routine; more fabulous ’dos for weddings and other special occasions; a chapter on multicurltural hair written by an African American specialist at Devachan. Plus, updated information on green and chemical-free products, 20 new Q&A’s, and a DVD with tutorials on caring for four different types of curls. From now on, there’s no such thing as a bad hair day.

I have never, ever come across a better explanation of the specific needs of we curly girls!  There is a whole section about the different curls which was so interesting and helpful in determining my particular kind (I'm a  wavy curl girl).  I found a bunch of tricks for easily making my curls look better without much work and this book, might just cause me to retire my beloved flat iron!!  If you or someone in your life has curls or waves (65% of us do!!) this book is a MUST!  It will change the way you wear your hair and if you are lucky like me, even save you some time getting ready (Hallelujah!!).  I also want to mention that Lorraine Massey has a whole line of curly hair products called DevaCurl which I am so anxious to try.  They sound amazing and just like something this curly haired mom might treat herself too!  Find out more about the products and find a retailer by clicking here.  Save your hair today and pick up your copy of Curly Girl on Amazon....your poor, fried tresses will thank you!

Joanie Leeds & The Nightlights: What a Zoo...Review & Giveaway!

I have a fun upcoming musical release to share with you all today....Joanie Leeds & The Nightlights:  What A Zoo!  In case Joanie Leeds & The Nightlights are new to you, here is a bit of background...

Building on the momentum of her 2010 Parents’ Choice® Gold Award-winning album, I’m a Rock Star, independent children’s musician Joanie Leeds brings her attention to the animal kingdom with the April 12 release of her new kids’ CD, What a Zoo! (Limbostar, $15.00, for ages 2 – 9, run time 37 minutes).  Joining Joanie and her band, The Nighlights, is the critically acclaimed “hip hop for kids” musician, Secret Agent 23 Skidoo.

Gifted with a soulful, “rock solid” voice and an instinctive knack for capturing the essence of any style she goes for, Joanie Leeds has delivered, with each new release, music that speaks to kids in a friendly, non-patronizing way and is imbued with artistic values that thrill admiring adults.  Her presentation is notable for its child-appropriate clarity, yet vocally Joanie soars easily through a remarkable array of styles with such an enviable power and dexterity that it’s easy to forget her intended audience is under age 10.  Joanie truly rocks!  Time Out New York Kids enthused about
I’m a Rock Star, “The title track – with its hint of mid-career Alanis Morissette – is a terrific jam, while the rocking-chair anthem ‘Give Me a Hug’ is a tender, parent-pleasing tune … if she can win over my discerning kid, then Joanie Leeds is indeed a rock star.”

Sounds fun, right?  My friend and fellow blogger, Collen was my guest reviewer this one (along with her two adorable little boys!) and she had this to say...

I love a kids music CD with a catchy name and frankly What A Zoo! describes many a day here at our house.  With two young boys our home is often zoo-like so I was looking forward to a new soundtrack for our days.  We listened to the CD in the car and I found myself bopping my head and singing along to the chorus of a few songs.  I really enjoyed All the Animals and its bits of educational goodness as it sang to us about how many legs many creatures have.  Tofurky Song made me laugh out loud and I could actually imagine it being played on an adult radio station at Thanksgiving as homage to Tofurky.  The only song that threw me a little was Possum (done originally by Phish).  For me, a song about a possum getting hit by a car and meeting its end does not a kids song make.   Besides Possum, I think What A Zoo by Joanie and the Nightlights is a pretty good find for families.  The beats are head bopping worthy, my youngest declared he liked it and my oldest did not complain that we were listening to “little kid” music.

It sounds like a thumbs up all around from Colleen and her gang!  You can pre-order What a Zoo on Joanie Leeds & The Nightlights website by clicking here.

Are We There Yet.? Giveaway!!

Now that my children are finally becoming better sleepers (knocking on wood like a maniac here!!) I am going to start making time to catch some shows I have been missing out on.  On the top of my list?  Are We There Yet on TBS.  Have you seen it yet?  If not, here is the scoop...

America's favorite blended family is back in the neighborhood. Terry Crews and Essence Atkins star in this popular sitcom as a newly married couple adjusting to life as newlyweds and the complexities of raising children, while also dealing with the everyday challenges of romance, friendship and the drama of extended family. Teala Dunn and Coy Stewart co-star as Nick and Suzanne's children, 14-year-old Lindsey and 10-year-old Kevin. Keesha Sharp is Suzanne's best friend and coworker, Gigi, who has a taste for men and the finer things in life. Special guest star, Ice Cube will return as Suzanne's brother, Terrence. Recurring characters include Nick's best friend, Martin, played by comedian Christian Finnegan and Suzanne's mother, Marilyn, played by Telma Hopkins.

Doesn't that sound good??  I love Ice Cube from Friday and can't wait to see him in this offering from TBS!  Here he is promoting the show on Conan...
