Red & Yellow's Noisy Night by Josh Selig Coming in April...R&G!

I have a delightful book for the children  to tell you about today, Red & Yellow's Noisy Night from the Olive Branch series and written by Josh Selig.  This book has been a huge hit not only with the kids but with me as well.  Here is the scoop...

“I believe that The Olive Branch can help make a real difference in our world.”--Archbishop Desmond Tutu

Red and Yellow live together in the branches of an olive tree--but these two friends are as different as can be, and sometimes have trouble co-existing peacefully. Red wants to play loudly on his strummy, while Yellow longs for sleep. This adorable bedtime story about tolerance and conflict resolution is based on an animated TV show that currently airs on over 100 channels around the world.

Based in New York City, The Little Light Foundation is a nonprofit charity whose goal is to create original media that helps children around the world learn about conflict resolution and mutual respect. Josh Selig, the founder of the company, is the creative genius behind popular TV shows such as The Wonder Pets. To ensure that The Olive Branch reaches the widest possible audience, episodes are available to any broadcaster in the world for just one unit of that country's own currency.
More praise for The Olive Branch:
“What I admire about The Olive Branch is [it] demonstrates that our conflicts can be resolved with joy, humor, and true compassion...”--Deepak Chopra
“The show reflects many of the goals we seek to achieve…”--Karen Cirillo, UNICEF
“We believe this project will help children find creative ways to work out their differences.”--Rhonda Barad, Simon Wiesenthal Center/NY Tolerance Center

This book is wonderful from start to finish!  First can we talk about the accolades from Archbishop Desmond Tutu, UNICEF and others??  What tremendous compliments and, let me tell you, they are well deserved.  Red & Yellow's Noisy Night is such a sweet story with a powerful message. The character's of Red & Yellow are tree mates living in the Olive Tree who coexist happily (for the most part) until one night when Red's strumming on his strummy keeps Yellow awake.  After a bit of conflict, the two friends come to a solution....compromise.  I love this message and the illustrations are a stunning accompaniment to them (love all the stars in the background!).  Red & Yellow's Noisy Night is the perfect bedtime story for ALL children.  Pre-Order a copy today on Amazon....

I am so pleased to tell you that the publisher Sterling Publishing, is giving one lucky RBM reader a copy of Red & Yellow's Noisy Night! Thanks so much to the sponsor and here is how to enter...
