I would say about 99% of their parents I meet have some level of worry about the amount of healthy (or not so healthy!) foods their children eat. Let's face it, it is really tough to get most children to see healthy eating as something fun and positive in the land of junk food. Enter Copy Kids to help make conquering this task a whole lot easier. What is Copy Kids? Here is the scoop from their website....
A joy-filled video and an innovative tool for parents who want to get children to enjoy eating fruits and vegetables.
Copy-Kids is a media company producing video that encourages positive habits in young children, by watching and copying other kids. Copy-Kids unique content — DVD, online and TV — helps parents get their children hooked on healthy and positive habits.
Produced for children aged 6 months to 5 years, Copy-Kids innovative video is fun and compelling for both children and parents.
Copy-Kids launched in January 2012 with our first DVD — Copy-Kids Eat Fruits and Vegetables.
The DVD features 12 x 7 minute chapters, one for each of twelve fruits & veggies:
Apples – Avocado – Banana – Bell Pepper – Blueberries – Broccoli – Carrots – Cucumber – Orange – Raspberries – Strawberries – Tomato
Each chapters features several adorable and entertaining children aged 9 months to 4 years, eating with joy and delight. It’s a simple but revolutionary tool for parents who want their kids to develop a life-long habit of healthy eating. The DVD includes an on-camera discussion about healthy eating with renowned pediatrician Dr. Jay Gordon, plus a section of delightful outtakes.
Total Running Time: 115 minutes
What a great idea, right?? Children love to do mimic other children. Whether it be in play or through eating kids want to be doing what other kids are doing. Copy Kids shows kids eating the way kids SHOULD eat....peppers, strawberries, tomato and more are shown as delicious and fun by other children. To me, this is just plain genius. I tested this out with tomatoes with Little R (tomatoes are NOT a popular food in our home amongst the kiddos). Sure enough, Ruby delighted in eating the tomato along with the child on the screen. Is it her favorite? Nope. However, she sees it as a positive fun food where before she shied away from it. Copy Kids is a fantastic tool in the quest for healthier kids. Bravo! Order Copy Kids today on their website by clicking HERE. It is worth every penny of the $19.95 price tag!
