What you ask, is the EKLIPSE? Well, it is a clothespin, only better! Check it out...
Doesn't the design just make sense?? It is 3 inches in diameter and only opens as much as you need it to, without any pinching. Plus, doesn't it just look better?? These are just plain fun and functional. Here are the details from the EKLIPSE website....
- One piece
- UV-Resistant, Non-Toxic, Durable, Recyclable
- Cannot be swallowed
- Always in compression
- Never has to be squeezed
- Opens only as much as it has to User friendly and socially sustainable
- Simply hook & tug to apply or remove
- Fingers and thumbs stay free
- Will not mar clothing
- Simple, Smart and Clean!
I put these to the test over the weekend and I will never go back to traditional clothespins. First of all, they are much easier to use. You can grab a stack and easily loop them onto the clothes. They only open up as much as is necessary so there is no snapping or breaking. There is also no annoying and unsightly lines on your clothes or risk of staining from old wooden clips. The EKLIPSE is the only way to go as far as I am concerned. Your clothes will thank you!
The EKLIPSE is also great for a variety of other uses from chip clips to paper clips and even an artwork holder! Th other day we used ours to help affix blankets to the clothesline and surrounding bushes to make a huge fort!
The EKLIPSE can be purchased for just $9.95 per bakers dozen (13) or double your order (26) for only $19.95. There are a variety of colors including the Patriotic variety pack which I just love for summer....
You should also note that you can have the EKLIPSE embossed with a logo which, in my opinion, would make great corporate swag. When I was in the "non mommy workforce" we arranged lots of golf tournaments this time of year and the EKLIPSE would be a fun, Eco friendly addition to the goodie bags that are given out. For more details click HERE.
DEAL ALERT: When you order a baker's dozen from the EKLIPSE website simply mention Reviewed by Mom when you order and you will receive 2 EKLIPSEs free!
Giveaway: I am delighted to tell you that THREE lucky RBM readers will win a 5 pack of EKLIPSE's. Thanks so much to the sponsor and here is how to enter....

Doesn't mar clothing

I noticed that these are made in the USA. That is rare, especially for an item like this.
This was designed by an architect who spent 15 years in the process. Supposedly motivated after noting the widespread use of clothesline drying of clothes in England.
They were invented after the guy moved back from Europe.

Its non toxic and cant be swallowed
I learned that it can be used for more than just hanging clothes. They show it clipping things together so they don't get lost.
I also personally think, they would be much easier to find if they fall off your line into the grass. I hate trying to find missing clothespins, this would be so much easier!

Charley initially conceived EKLIPSE in 1997 in Europe, where hanging laundry out to dry is widely practiced, since it extends fabric life, burdens our environment less, provides access to fresh air and, frankly speaking, saves money.
I learned that they are non toxic and will not hurt your clothing!
