Bingo Anyone?

When I first got online I was introduced to two things...e-mail and online games.  For the most part, I used the Internet for work but when I wanted to unwind at the end of the day, I really loved to play games.  My dad is actually the person who introduced me to some of my very first online game sites and he and I used to play together on the Internet and compete for best scores.  It was a lot of fun and something I really enjoyed doing with him (he was a computer guy for sure!).  I also remember how delighted we both were to win prizes from a game site we used.  Neither one of us won anything major but it was a big rush to win something from the comfort of my own home while I was doing something enjoyable.  Fun!

While I don't have as much time to play online games as I used to, I still like to take that down time to play.  I think it is important to take time to sit back, relax and do something that is fun for you.  I also love to do something that might just earn me a prize (guess I still remember that rush from winning all those years ago!!).   There is a site out now BingoPalace.com that has lots of great Bingo games that offer the chance to win some fantastic cash prizes.  I know Bingo is a super popular game to play in person but I also know there are not as many halls around as there used to be. And, let's face it, we are busier than we used to be so getting out to play can often be a challenge. BingoPalace offers an online site that mimics all the fun of a bingo hall and even has chat rooms so you can meet other players if you wish. At the end of the day, you can kick back, play some bingo and hope to win the big cash prize.  Sounds like a fun evening to me!  Pin It

EKLIPSE....R&G!

Spring has finally arrived here in Maine.  In fact, we are heading toward summer which means open windows, blooming gardens and one of my very favorite things, laundry on the line.  To me, there is nothing better than crisp sheets for sleeping on.  When I learned of a local man who had invented a better clothespin I was intrigued.  Quite frankly, the timing could not have been better.  I had just purchased a package of wooden clothespins of which more than half snapped before I had a chance to use them AND the ones I did use left ugly marks on my pretty blouses.  No fun!  The EKLIPSEs found their way into my hands at the perfect time.

What you ask, is the EKLIPSE?  Well, it is a clothespin, only better!  Check it out...

Doesn't the design just make sense??  It is 3 inches in diameter and only opens as much as you need it to,  without any pinching.  Plus, doesn't it just look better??  These are just plain fun and functional.  Here are the details from the EKLIPSE website....
  •   One piece
  •   UV-Resistant, Non-Toxic, Durable, Recyclable
  •  Cannot be swallowed
  •  Always in compression
  •  Never has to be squeezed
  •  Opens only as much as it has to   User friendly and socially sustainable
  •  Simply hook & tug to apply or remove
  •  Fingers and thumbs stay free
  • Will not mar clothing
  •  Simple, Smart and Clean!
I put these to the test over the weekend and I will never go back to traditional clothespins.  First of all, they are much easier to use.  You can grab a stack and easily loop them onto the clothes.    They only open up as much as is necessary so there is no snapping or breaking.  There is also no annoying and unsightly lines on your clothes or risk of staining from old wooden clips.  The EKLIPSE is the only way to go as far as I am concerned.  Your clothes will thank you!

The EKLIPSE is also great for a variety of other uses from chip clips to paper clips and even an artwork  holder!  Th other day we used ours to help affix blankets to the clothesline and surrounding bushes to make a huge fort!

The EKLIPSE can be purchased for just $9.95 per bakers dozen (13) or double your order (26) for only $19.95.  There are a variety of colors including the Patriotic variety pack which I just love for summer....

You should also note that you can have the EKLIPSE embossed with a logo which, in my opinion, would make great corporate swag.  When I was in the "non mommy workforce" we arranged lots of golf tournaments this time of year and the EKLIPSE would be a fun, Eco friendly addition to the goodie bags that are given out.  For more details click HERE.

DEAL ALERT:  When you order a baker's dozen from the EKLIPSE website simply mention Reviewed by Mom when you order and you will receive 2 EKLIPSEs free!

Giveaway:  I am delighted to tell you that THREE lucky RBM readers will win a 5 pack of EKLIPSE's.  Thanks so much to the sponsor and here is how to enter....

The Rock Star in Seat 3A: A Novel by Jill Kargman...R&G!

I just wrapped up a really fun read, The Rock Star in Seat 3A:  A Novel by Jill Kargman.  Here is the scoop...

It's Hazel's thirtieth birthday and she has everything she's ever wanted: a kickass job, a dream apartment in New York City, and the perfect boyfriend—who's just days away from proposing. Hazel thinks she's happy but isn't quite ready to settle down. So when her most far-fetched fantasy enters the realm of the possible, shouldn't she drop everything to see it through?

The morning after her birthday, Hazel boards a flight to L.A. only to get the surprise of her life. When she's bumped up to first class, extra legroom and free drinks are absolutely the last things on her mind when she catches sight of her seatmate: her all-time biggest celebrity crush, rock star Finn Schiller! Only the night before she'd confessed her infatuation with the gorgeous musician, and her boyfriend joked that she had a free pass if she ever met him. Hazel can't believe fate has actually thrown them together.

Even more unbelievable is that during the flight they genuinely connect. Finn likes her uncensored cursing and wicked sense of humor, and that she's unlike all of his groupies; Hazel likes his killer looks, ripped physique, and soulful music. But what started as a fantasy quickly becomes a real attraction, and after a dream date and taste of the rock-star life with Finn in L.A., Hazel is forced to examine the track her life is on. Indulging in a passionate affair with a rock star seems crazy—but could she ever forgive herself if she walked away from her wildest dream coming true? And is her wildest dream the stuff that happiness is made of?

A lively novel about a down-to-earth New York City girl who suddenly finds herself in a rock 'n' roll Cinderella fantasy, The Rock Star in Seat 3A is seasoned with Jill Kargman's signature wit and hilarious dialogue. This is a fairy-tale romance with a twist.

This book was the ultimate "what if" book.  Can you even imagine if you were at least "almost" single and seated next to the rock god of your dreams??  I had a sort of love/hate relationship with Hazel.  I was rooting for her/annoyed with her and desperate to see what she would do (or not do!) next).  This is what kept me riveted until the very last page.  This book was crass in some parts but it completely fit with the rock and roll vibe of the book so the language was actually fitting.  I surprised  myself when, in certain parts, I get tearful.  I expected this to be a fun read (it WAS) but it was also a testament to relationships, letting go and moving on.  I thoroughly enjoyed this read and highly recommend it for your summer reading list.  Pick up your copy today on Amazon.....

Kylie's Special Treat....

As some of you may remember, my son "W" has a tree nut allergy.  It is a struggle sometimes to help him understand that being different in this way is not a "bad" thing or that having a different treat at social occasions is not some sort of punishment.  When I was asked to review the new book, Kylie's Special Treat by Letizia Barbetta, I could not wait to see how the author would tackle the subject of food allergies.

Here is the scoop...

A sweet fairy tale of a girl who loves to paint and dreams of the prince she once knew. One day she receives an invitation to make the prince a special treat. With some magical help, she happily bakes him her favorite dessert. Of course, it doesn't include any of the foods she's allergic to (milk, eggs, peanuts, and tree nuts).
Kylie shows the reader how she manages her food allergies with poise and confidence, follows her dreams and goes on to live happily ever after.
Whimsical and colorful illustrations make this supportive story a fun read for all, especially food-allergic children.
Book includes a simple baking recipe, food allergy tips and resources for adults.
A portion of the proceeds from each book sold will be donated to FAAN for food allergy research.

This book is truly a delight.  First there is the message....having food allergies does not make you different in a negative way and it should not stop you from doing any of the things others are doing.  This is huge.  With so many children now with food allergies, it is incredibly important to teach all children that having a food allergy does not mean that one needs to be ostracized!  Kylie's Sweet Treat does an amazing job of "normalizing" food allergies.  Yes, Kylie may eat differently and carries medication but she is just like her friends with hopes, dreams and unique talents.  The food allergy is a part of her but it is not her!  Secondly, the story itself is just magical.  It is a unique spin on Cinderella which is sure to delight all children.  The message is clear for all readers, follow your dreams not matter what.  The accompanying illustrations are fun and colorful.
Kylie's Sweet Treat is a terrific way to help explain food allergies to children as well as an inspiring story about following your dreams.  This book really should be in every school library!Pick up your copy today on Amazon....

Hope Harris: Picasso, That's Who! (And So Can You!)....R&G!

Here at Reviewed by Mom, we just love good music!  Last year the kids and I became fans of Hope Harris thanks to the fun CD, Cousins Jamboree. When we had the chance to review her just released (May 22nd) offering Picasso, That's Who! (And So Can You!) we jumped at the chance.  Here is the scoop on what we are jamming to in the RBM caravan....

Hot on the heels of her 2011 Parents’ Choice® Silver Honor Award winning CD, Cousins Jamboree, independent children’s musician Hope Harris is excited to embark on a lively new adventure into the world of art with the May 22 release of Picasso, That’s Who! (And So Can You!). The album takes kids and families through a tuneful celebration of 19th and 20th century visual artists, offering musical mini-lessons in art appreciation and encouraging listeners to pick up a brush or a crayon and try creating art!

Expertly produced by Rob Friedman, co-producer of the Dan Zanes family albums, Picasso,That’s Who! (And So Can You!) invites kids to hop a train with Romare Bearden, action paint like Jackson Pollock, take a line for a walk with Paul Klee, jump off the diving board into a painting by David Hockney, look closely at the petals of a flower like Georgia O’Keeffe, and more.

Every one of Hope Harris’ songs is graced with an energy that encourages further artistic exploration in both learning about and creating art. The title track of Picasso, That’s Who! (And So Can You!) is appropriately colored with vibrant Spanish rhythms, melodies, and instruments.” A funky retro rock ‘n’ roll ‘60s groove that’s sure to move listeners to action describes the free spirit of Jackson Pollock’s art in sound. Lots of bluegrass pickin’ expresses Grandma Moses, Alexander Calder receives a cool jazz treatment, and Georgia O’Keeffe’s vision is conveyed through a gentle waltz with soothing cello harmonies. Paul Klee’s song, “Dot in Motion,” has a solid roots rock feel, while “Impression Monet” (decorated with the distinctive sound of a French accordion) gives one the feel of floating down the Seine. Songs about David Hockney, Romare Bearden, and Henri Matisse round out the album, each offering a distinctive change of pace.

Says Hope Harris, “With Picasso, That’s Who! (And So Can You!) my goal is to spark curiosity and inspire creativity. I want kids to look at the world around them, be motivated to visit art galleries and museums, and to realize that artists are everywhere making all kinds of art. I’d like to say to every child who hears this music, ‘Now it’s your turn … paint it, glue it, draw it, mix it, try it! All the artists on this album did, and you can, too! It doesn’t have to be perfect. Use your imagination and have some fun!’”

A graduate of the University of Virginia and, later, the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre, Hope Harris spent many years living and performing in NYC, appearing both on and off Broadway, in regional and stock productions across the country, and even doing stints at venues like Nashville’s famed Bluebird Café. A crowning success in the kids’ realm was her starring appearance, for three years running, as “Baker Bobbie” for the Park Slope, Brooklyn, Chocolate Chip Chamber Music Series, for which she is also a contributing scriptwriter. Hope now lives with her family in Richmond, VA but returns often to NYC to perform.

  Track Listings:
1 A-C-T-I-O-N (Jackson Pollack)
2 Picasso, That's Who! (Pablo Picasso)
3 Who Made the Splash? (David Hockney)
4 Grandma Moses (Grandma Moses)
5 Swingin' Little Duck (Alexander Calder)
6 See A Painting by Georgia O'Keefe (Georgia O'Keefe)
7 Dot In Motion (Paul Klee)
8 Telling Stories (Romare Bearden)
9 M-A-T-I-S-S-E, Matisse (Henri Matisse)
10 Impression. Monet (Claude Monet)
11 Paint A Picture, Too

Hope Harris is a wonder.  She has created music that is fun, danceable all while paying homage to the arts.  This CD is just so much fun and has introduced the kiddos (and me in some cases!) to different artists and their styles.  I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite from this CD but I really love the gentle styles of Impression. Monet and See a Painting by Georgia O'Keefe.  My kiddos love to rock out to the bluesy, folksy Picasso, That's Who song!  This CD is a mixture of fun styles of art AND music!  It is a match made in heaven thanks to the talented Hope Harris.  If you are looking for some fun music for your summer pick up your copy of Picasso, That's Who! (And So Can You!)....

The First Warm Evening of the Year by Jamie M Saul...R&G!

There is a brand new book available from Harper Collins that will be a super read this summer.  The First Warm Evening of the Year by Jamie M Saul is available for purchase now.  Here is the scoop....

The first time I saw Marian Ballantine she looked like a burst of bittersweet among the winter branches . . ."
And so begins a tale of love lost and found, the rekindling of a passion for life that two people discover with each other, and the complex dynamics of family and friendship.

Geoffrey Tremont is untroubled by his neat, contented bachelor life in bustling New York City, filled with sophisticated friends, an undemanding lover devoted to her own career, and his wise brother, a psychiatrist who is the only one who sees and understands him completely—just the way Geoffrey wants it. On an ordinary day, Geoffrey arrives home to find a letter awaiting him with a postmark from an unfamiliar town: Shady Grove, New York. An old friend has named him the executor of her estate. Twenty years ago, in college, Geoffrey and Laura Welles had been each other's confidant; as their lives diverged, they went their separate ways. Now, she's reached out of the past to ask him a final favor. Laura's death has also brought her brother, Simon, to Geoffrey's doorstep. With his sister gone, Simon has no one but her old friend Geoffrey with whom to settle past grievances.

With Simon in tow, Geoffrey travels up to Laura's hometown—the place she chose to live her final years—where he meets Marian Ballantine. A widow living in the shadow of an idyllic marriage, and now grieving the loss of her best friend, Marian knows a lot about Geoffrey. Laura often spoke of him, she tells him, and though he's flattered, he's also thrown off balance. From the moment he first sees her, Geoffrey instinctively knows this attractive, plainspoken woman has the power to upend his cool, compartmentalized life. What Marian knows is that life comes with no guarantees, no promises of lasting happiness, and although she finds herself unsettled by this persistent, compelling man, she's unwilling to trade her hard-won, quotidian existence for an indefinite future. Faced with the decision to embrace the unknown or retreat to the safety of the familiar, they will both have to discover the courage it takes to tumble into the abyss of love.

The Queen Bee got first dibs on this book and had this to say about it....

I hadn't read Saul's first book, Light of Day, but it did get good reviews. In this novel, there is a main character, Geoffrey Tremont, who was a child actor and now did voice overs. Lives in NYC, runs with a sophisticated crowd, has a girlfriend who he sees when he wants, comes and goes as he pleases. He receives a letter from a lawyer, who tells him of the death of a childhood friend,Laura, who has asked that he be executor of her estate.
He takes a few days off, heads to Shady Grove, a little town in the country, and so the real story begins. He meets a friend of his old pal Laura, Marian is a widow. A widow not looking for a different life, happy with her greenhouse and nursery/landscape business, happy with her boyfriend, happy with her life. Or so we think.

If you are thinking that this story is hokey or sounds contrived, it's exactly what I was thinking as I kept reading. I kept saying this is crazy, this would never happen this way. Life would never happen this way. I would put the book down, and then I would pick it up again and continue reading. It is one of those kind of books. It is a book that would be a good Nicholas Sparks movie.

Having said all of that, I think I do recommend this book. It was an easy read and as long as you don't "read" too much into it, you will be glad you picked it up.

This one is definitely going into my summer read pile!  Add it to yours too and pick up your copy today on Amazon....

Farm Rich...R&G!

My life has become a little (a lot!) more hectic.  My twins have started t-ball, all three kiddos are taking swim lessons and we are less than a week away from closing on a new home that we have 2 months to make livable before we move in.  Yes....things are a wee bit hectic here at Reviewed by Mom.  Something that suffers when I am busier is time spent in the kitchen.  When we are running from here to there I simply don't have the time (or desire!!) to slave over the stove which leaves me turning to convenience foods.  Not just any convenience foods though.  I want wholesome, tasty food that cook up in a jiffy.  What brand do I turn to time and time again?  Farm Rich!

I have been a fan of Farm Rich for quite some time. I particularly like their meatballs which I can toss into a sauce for a quick, nourishing meal the whole family loves. We really love the Italian Style Meatballs from Farm Rich.  I heat them right on the stove top in the sauce and them put them on pasta or in a sub roll.  Yummy! There are also turkey meatballs and regular meatball options which give a big range of recipe ideas.

We recently tried the Farm Rich Cheese Sticks as part of an appetizer dinner in our home and they were a big hit.  Check out the facts...

- Made with 100% real mozzarella cheese

- Breaded and seasoned to perfection
- Good source of calcium and protein

- 0g trans fat per serving
- Comes in 10 oz snack pack & 52 oz value pack

These were great AND not greasy or heavy feeling like so many of these type of food typically are.

There are lots of handy choices from Farm Rich....Mini Pizza Slices, Pretzel Bites, French Toast Sticks and more!  If you are looking to save time in the kitchen without forgoing taste and nutrition, be sure to pick up Farm Rich products at the grocery.  To find a retailer near you click HERE.

I am so pleased to tell you that Farm Rich is giving one lucky RBM reader (2) Free Product Coupons (up to $5.99 each!).  Thanks so much to Farm Rich and here is how to enter.... a Rafflecopter giveaway Pin It

Jackie After O by Tina Cassidy...R&G!

Earlier this month a new book was released about the glamorous former First Lady, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.  Jackie After O by Tina Cassiday is available now, just in time for summer reading.  Here is the scoop...

Defined in the public eye by her two high-profile marriages, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis faced a personal crossroads on the eve of 1975. Her relationship with Aristotle Onassis was crumbling while his health was rapidly declining. Her children were nearing adulthood, soon to leave her with an empty nest. Both death and scandal were about to strike yet again. But 1975 would also be a time of incredible growth and personal renaissance for Jackie, the year in which she reinvented herself and rediscovered talents and passions she had set aside for her roles as wife and mother.

In Jackie After O, acclaimed author and journalist Tina Cassidy explores this prolific yet incredibly daunting year in the life of Jacqueline Onassis, including her part in the campaign to preserve Grand Central Terminal in New York City; her pursuit of a real career, in the editorial department of Viking Press; the death of her second husband and her fraught relationship with his surviving daughter; and the London bombing that almost took her own daughter's life. Cassidy has unearthed new information from archives and original interviews, and reveals intimate stories about the projects and interests of Jackie's earlier years that would lay the foundation for her life beginning in 1975, from an internship at Vogue to her meticulous restoration of the White House when she was First Lady.

The Queen Bee got first dibs on this book and this is what she had to say...

I, like everyone else on that fateful day, remember where I was when President Kennedy got shot. I was home sick from school, my mom had gone to tea next door with our neighbor Arlene. I was sitting there watching TV, when the news bulletin came on. I went running next door to tell my mom. Camelot was no more.
I was very interested to see if this author could add anything new to what we already knew about Jackie O. As I understood the book to be about one year in the life, I was pretty confused when the first half of the book was jumping back and forth. I could not figure out what year the author, Cassidy, was writing about. When she finally started telling us about Ari Onassis, I figured it out, 1975. The year Jackie took on the City of NY over the proposed demolition of Grand Central Station. The year Jackie became a book editor for Viking. The year Aristotle Onassis died, and left her a widow once again.
I am not sure that this book gave me awhile lot more insight then I already had by reading newspaper & magazine articles. There were plenty of news stories on TV, telling us all about the fight over Onassis' millions.
Unfortunately for Cassidy, Jackie O's life played out in the press. I kept reading, wanting to read something that was new and unpublished. I didn't get what I wanted. What I did get was a reminder of how Jackie could twist people around her finger, and got what she wanted. How powerful she was in that regard ! She did have some fine victories in the fight to save historical buildings. She had great success at Viking and then again at Double Day. She did finally come into her own. But I am sad to say, that the mystery that was Jackie Kennedy Onassis, went to the grave with her.
I recommend this book if you would like to refresh your memory about the sometimes glamorous, but mostly tragic life of Jackie O.

Siblings Without Rivalry...R&G!

I have just finished reading what has quickly become one of my favorite parenting books...Siblings Without Rivalry by Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish.  This book is an incredibly thoughtful guide to raising children who are friends instead of adversaries.  Here is the scoop....

The #1 New York Times best-selling guide to reducing hostility and generating goodwill between siblings.
Already best-selling authors with How to Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk, Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish turned their minds to the battle of the siblings. Parents themselves, they were determined to figure out how to help their children get along. The result was Siblings Without Rivalry. This wise, groundbreaking book gives parents the practical tools they need to cope with conflict, encourage cooperation, reduce competition, and make it possible for children to experience the joys of their special relationship. With humor and understanding much gained from raising their own children Faber and Mazlish explain how and when to intervene in fights, provide suggestions on how to help children channel their hostility into creative outlets, and demonstrate how to treat children unequally and still be fair. Updated to incorporate fresh thoughts after years of conducting workshops for parents and professionals, this edition also includes a new afterword.
I am an only child so, to be honest, the whole sibling thing is new territory for me with A, W & R.  When I was a kid I thought children who had brothers and sisters were just the lucky ones who had a constant playmate.  Now as a mom to three, I know a constant playmate can quickly turn into a battle mate!  Siblings Without Rivalry gave detailed ideas and strategies to help your children get along throughout the ages.
I found the layout to be very appealing.  There were real life stories taken from the workshops which provided lots of variation in tales of sibling dynamics and troubles in ways that were very relatable.  The book was not at all "preachy" (as I have found some parenting books to be) and it provided you with real life tools to help your children become lifelong friends.  I paid special attention to the sections on not comparing your children because, as a mom of twins, it is sometimes very difficult not to do that.  I am trying to be sure to give all of the children some special time when the focus is on them alone.  It is hard to always share the spotlight!  Faber and Mazlish really do provide practical advice that makes the often bumpy parenting road ride much more smoothly.  If you are a parent to more than one this is a MUST!   Pick up your copy today...

I am so happy to tell you that one lucky RBM reader will win a copy of Siblings Without Rivalry.  Thank so much to the sponsor and here is how to enter... a Rafflecopter giveaway Pin It

Diane Chamberlain's The Good Father Blog Tour!

I am so excited to be a part of another incredible book tour!  This time I had the opportunity to read The Good Father by Diane Chamberlain and today I get to share an excerpt for you so here goes...

Erin came to the end of a chapter and said they'd take a little break while Bella ate her muffin.
"Come over here to eat so you don't get it all over Miss Erin," I said to Bella.
"Oh, she's fine here," Erin said. "Just set the water on the table."

To keep reading be sure to follow the entire tour by clicking HERE.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with this read here is the scoop...

A beloved daughter. A devastating choice. And now there's no going back. Four years ago, nineteen-year-old Travis Brown made a choice: to raise his newborn daughter on his own. While most of his friends were out partying and meeting girls, Travis was at home, changing diapers and worrying about keeping food on the table. But he's never regretted his decision. Bella is the light of his life. The reason behind every move he makes. And so far, she is fed. Cared for. Safe.
But when Travis loses his construction job and his home, the security he's worked so hard to create for Bella begins to crumble….
Then a miracle. A job in Raleigh has the power to turn their fortunes around. It has to. But when Travis arrives in Raleigh, there is no job, only an offer to participate in a onetime criminal act that promises quick money and no repercussions.
With nowhere else to turn, Travis must make another choice for his daughter's sake.
Even if it means he might lose her.

I loved this book.  It was suspenseful, touching and, at times heart wrenching (tissues should be on hand!).  Chamberlain created some very endearing characters in this book and their stories come together seamlessly.  This is a can't put down read about love and the lengths a father will go to to protect his child.  Pick up a copy today on Amazon....

CRIME SOLVING WITH A SIDE OF QUIRK

Burned government agent Michael Westen is a tough guy who just happens to have a soft spot for yogurt –especially blueberry. And he is not the first investigator to have a strange-but-endearing habit. Take a look at some of Michael’s brethren who also have strange affections or habits that make them unique characters.

MONK

Tony Shalhoub won three Emmy®Awards for his portrayal of private investigator Adrian Monk, who suffers from a seemingly incurable case of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Only with the assistance of a personal nurse is he able to leave the house to combat germs and solve mysteries.

PATRICK JANE (The Mentalist)

HOUSE

Dr. Gregory House is famously brilliant Chief of Diagnostic Medicine at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey, where he leads an equally brilliant team of diagnosticians. SPECIAL AGENT SEELEY BOOTH (Bones)

David Boreanaz stars alongside Emily Deschanel as Seeley Booth in Fox’s Bones. In addition to serving the FBI, he is a former U.S. Army Special Forces sniper… and he really loves his colorful socks. Which might be only slightly less quirky than his favorite belt buckle, which says “Cocky.”

FOX MULDER (X-Files)

DEXTER

Dexter is a genius investigator with a nasty affinity for, well, murdering those who deserve it. Blood spatter pattern analyst by day, killer by night. The series has enjoyed wide critical acclaim and popularity, earning its star, Michael C. Hall, several awards and nominations for his portrayal of Dexter, including a Golden Globe.

Keranique Shampoo & Conditioner...R&G!

I love a great hair product.  My poor hair has been through the wringer....I flat iron it, blow dry it, occasionally dye it and overall abuse it on a very regular basis.  When I can find something to help my poor strands I get pretty excited and such is the case with Keranique products.  Here is the scoop...

The Power of Peppermint
Peppermint oil has been used for centuries to cure a number of medical issues including stomach ailments, cold symptoms and headaches. This powerful ingredient also helps to enhance hair and scalp health.

Keranique has incorporated peppermint oil into its new volumizing shampoo and conditioner. The ingredient works to gently moisturize the hair shaft while stimulating micro-circulation and new hair growth. A tingling, cooling effect occurs when peppermint oil is massaged into the scalp, helping to balance the PH levels and banish oily hair – and the fresh, invigorating scent of peppermint will last all day!

The Keranique Volumizing Shampoo gently deep cleans, stimulates/nourishes the scalp and follicles, and removes oil/build up that drags hair down. The shampoo is free of sulfates, parabens and synthetic fragrances. $35

The Keranique Volumizing Conditioner coats the hair to make each strand thicker and protects fine hair with a unique cream-gel formula that doesn’t weigh it down. It is also formulated to help hydrate and stimulate micro-circulation around the hair follicle to help nourish the hair. The conditioner’s blend of technologies penetrates each hair shaft to help smooth cuticles, mend split ends and decrease hair breakage. $35

When I first tried this set I was at first taken with the scent.  It is lovely and invigorating and that alone made me feel pampered.  After using this product for the past few weeks, I can really say I have noticed a difference in the shine and boucne of my hair.  Keranique has really worked its' magic on my poor lifeless hair!  I would highly recommend the Keranique brand to anyone who needs a life boost for their hair.  Keranique can help bring back the bounce, shine and overall health to your hair.  Hooray for that!  You can purchase Keranique products now through www.hsn.com and www.keranique.com.
