All You Could Ask for by Mike Greenberg...Review & Giveaway!

Last night I was up way too late because of a book.  I love it when that happens!  I knew I should go to sleep but I was too deeply engrossed in the lives of three women to let exhaustion stop me from turning the pages.  All  You Could Ask For by Mike Greenberg (yes, the guy from ESPN!) was a page turner that broke my heart AND mended it several times...now that is an author!  Here is the scoop...

Book Description
A tender and wonderfully insightful story of friendship, love, heartbreak, and renewal, played out in the lives of three unforgettable women, from an extraordinary and unexpected debut novelist—the host of the #1 sports talk show in America, ESPN's Mike Greenberg
All You Could Ask For
Mike Greenberg
Three women are about to find their lives intertwined in ways none of them could ever have imagined. . . .
Brooke has been happily married to her college sweetheart for fifteen years. Even after the C-section, the dog poop, the stomach viruses, and the coffee breath, Scott still always winks at her at just the right moments. That is why, for her beloved, romantic, successful husband's fortieth birthday, she is giving him pictures. Of her. Naked.
Samantha's newlywed bliss is steamrolled when she finds shocking evidence of infidelity on her husband's computer. She has been married for two days. She won't be for much longer.
Katherine works eighteen hours a day for the man who irreparably shattered her heart fifteen years ago. She has a duplex on Park Avenue, a driver, a chef, and a stunning house in Southampton, and she bought it all herself. So what if she has to see Phillip every single workday for the rest of her natural life? Brooke, Samantha, and Katherine don't know one another, but all three are about to discover the conquering power of friendship—and that they have all they could ask for, as long as they have one another.

Full disclosure:  I was dubious about this book because it was written by a "sports guy".  I am not saying it is fair (Sorry, Mr. Greenberg!) but how on earth could a man "get" women enough to write a believable story.  Well, somehow this sports guy nails it and the believable and relatable characters are what make this book so wonderful.  I think every women reading this will someone be able to relate to at least one of the characters.  They are your sister or your best friend or maybe even you.

I could not put this book down.   Because of the authors ability to create characters who were so much like a dear friend I became completely invested.  The journey the main characters go through is not an easy one (FYI-I so want to dish  more here but I don't want to give away major plot surprises!) but each of the women's personal strength and strong friendships connect them in a way that is life changing.  This book is a great read and a far better way (in my opinion) to spend a Sunday than football (sorry again Mr. Greenberg!).
