Cave Tools Salad Spinner Review & Coupon Code!

I don't know about you guys but Spring has me turning my menus toward salads and fresh produce. I am ready to kiss the heavy comfort foods goodbye for a bit and start enjoying some more fresh and crisp cuisine. In our family we eat a lot of salads. On most days we do a salad as a side for our meals but I also do many main course salads too.  Stay tuned as the days go on for some of my favorite recipes!

I was recently sent a great new kitchen gadget from Cave Tools called the Salad Spinner.  Because we do so many salads in our home I was pretty excited to give a try.

The Salad Spinner holds 3 quarts of veggies or fruits at a time which allows you to wash and drain a huge amount.  It is comprised of a basket (colander), a solid serving bowl that the basket  nestles in and a hand crank on the salad lid that allows you to spin basket. I found the crank easy to use and I liked that the lid locked so I was sure nothing would go flying out!  After a few vigorous cranks, my salad leaves were nice and dry and I was able to serve immediately unlike when I use a regular colander.

Something else I liked about this was that the bowl the basket is in makes a  wonderful serving bowl.  I just love multi-purpose tools like this!  You can wash, dry, serve and store all with one gadget....it is great!  I have been using my Salad Spinner for washing cut fruit as well.  It is super for strawberries and grapes!

If you are a person who makes a lot of fresh salads or preps a lot of fresh fruit (and if you aren't than you should be!!), the Salad Spinner is a must for you!  You can purchase the Salad Spinner using the following links....

I eat a lot of salads. After washing my greens, I spread them out on paper towels and use more paper towels on top to absorb the water. I've often thought of trying a salad spinner to make the process go faster. Thanks for your review - it convinced me to invest in this handy gadget.

What a neat looking salad spinner. I also love how you can use the spinner bowl as a serving bowl and that means washing less dishes.... dwelchert at yahoo dot com

I would love a salad spinner, it's such a pain to dry lettuce. :)
