Super Why: Triple Feature....Review & Giveaway!

Are you familiar with the show Super Why?  This adorable show has been around for awhile now providing kids fun characters and catchy tunes to help them learn early reading skills.  The jingle "hip, hip, hooray, the super reader saves the day" regularly gets stuck in my head.  It is a great show for kids and one I was always happy to let my own three tune into.  On March 14 Super Why:  Triple Feature will be available for purchase and is a must for Super Why fans.  Here is the scoop....

PBS Distribution announced it is releasing SUPER WHY!: TRIPLE FEATURE,” which includes content from three previously released DVDs bundled together onto two discs. “SUPER WHY!: TRIPLE FEATURE” includes 10 fun-filled stories. From helping Cinderella get ready for a party at the prince’s castle by spelling D-R-E-S-S, to using an alphabet map to aid Hensel and Gretel in their search for the witch’s house, the Super Readers go on fun-filled adventures in these 10 stories and help kids with the critical skills they need to learn to read. The three DVDs brought together for this collection include “Humpty Dumpty and other fairytale adventures,” “Hansel & Gretel: A Healthy Adventure,” and “Jack and the Beanstalk and other fairytale adventures.”

SUPER WHY!: TRIPLE FEATURE” will be available on March 14, 2017 and has a run time of approximately 280 minutes on 2 discs. The SRP for “SUPER WHY!: TRIPLE FEATURE” is $14.99. The stories included within this collection are listed below.
“Humpty Dumpty and other fairytale adventures”
·      “Humpty Dumpty”
·      “Cinderella”
·      “Pinocchio”
·      “Rumpelstiltskin”
“Hansel & Gretel: A Healthy Adventure”
·      “Hansel and Gretel: A Healthy Adventure”
·      “King Eddie Who Loved Spaghetti”
“Jack and the Beanstalk and other fairytale adventures
·      “Jack and the Beanstalk”
·      “The Princess and the Pea”
·      “The Three Little Pigs”
·      “Little Red Riding Hood”

Our Thoughts:  As I mentioned above, Super Why is one of those shows that I think is a real winner. It is educational while keeping kids engaged.  The familiar stories keep kids captivated and the learning portions flow right into the story line.  If you are looking to help your younger child with literacy skills this is a great one to introduce.  My daughter R who is 7 and a beginning reader still
really loves this show.  We have a collection of fairy tales here at home and she really got a kick out of comparing Super Why's versions to the ones in our books.

This DVD set is a great value and is even on sale for pre-order on Amazon right now at a reduced price of $9.99!  Easter basket addition anyone?!  You can order it here....
