Here and There are so similar they’re practically twins. But they could never play together because Here is always here and There is always there, so they become pen pals and write to each other all the time. One day, There gets an idea that could change the distance between them forever.
Our Thoughts: This book is adorable. The characters of "Here" and "There" are the actual words written out as shown on the cover. A big well-done to the illustrator Chritiane Engel for her awesome creativity!
My daughter thought words as characters was pretty great and I think it is very appealing to kiddos who are just learning to read and recognizing words and their meanings. The back and forth between Here and There made my daughter erupt into giggles.
Here can't get There and There can't get Here so they write letters about all the things they are doing that would be so much more fun if they were together. There manages to concoct a plan so they can find a way to be together which is both creative and fun. The best part of all for me was on the back cover....
Isn't that just the sweetest message?? For all the fun and silliness in this story there is also a wonderful friendship component that is simply darling. This is a delightful book to share with the children in your life. My daughter loved it so much she brought it into her classroom and she told me all 16 of her classmates gave it a big thumbs up too. You can buy From Here to There HERE. No. Not THERE. HERE( haha! I couldn't resist).
