I am just full of Mother's Day gift ideas today! I am thinking about what I would like and what my mom and my mother-in-law would like. We are all three quite different but something we all enjoy is a something great to wind down with and watch at the end of the day. I recently watched To Walk Invisible: The Bronte Sisters and I think it would be a slam dunk Mother's Day gift. Here is the scoop...
Haworth, West Yorkshire, 1845.
Charlotte, Emily and Anne Brontë face a life of hardship. Trapped at home with very few opportunities, they share the burden of supporting their father Patrick and their troubled brother Branwell, who has lost his way in life.
For years, the sisters have escaped into an imaginative fantasy world of stories and poems, without any hope of publication. But as their family situation worsens, Charlotte sees that writing novels could offer a way out.
Acclaimed screenwriter Sally Wainwright (Happy Valley, Last Tango in Halifax) creates "a bleak and brilliant portrayal" (The Guardian) of the sisters' extraordinary battle for recognition, starring the ensemble cast of Finn Atkins, Charlie Murphy, Adam Nagaitis, Chloe Pirrie, and Jonathan Pryce.
