Summer Hike.... Blueberry Mountain!

How is summer going for you guys so far? I hope you are enjoying lots of great family time and adventures. We have been enjoying lots of outdoor time and some fun family hikes.

A couple of weekends ago we visited Blueberry Mountain in Stow, Maine.  What a great hike!  It was about 2.5 miles up and got a little steep in spots but nothing my kids (10, 10 and 7) couldn't handle with some encouragement.  There were great views, plenty of streams and the reward at the end of Rattlesnake Pool.  This crystal clear pool is fed by a waterfall and we all took a very chilly dip.  It was gorgeous!  If you are in the Maine/New Hampshire area I would highly recommend a visit to Blueberry Mountain!  You can find directions and details here.

I don't know that I'm much of one for hiking, but the sky and greenery are lovely there!
