Mom and Dad working all the time...there was no quality time for the family
I didn't enjoy lunchtime - never enough time to eat, not very good food to choose from in line, and the stress of who to eat with! alicedemskehansen at gmail.com
Roughest thing for me was just not feeling like I had much in common with anyone!!
The chicken soup for Grandparents book is one I would like to get for my mom!
I remember feeling clueless about how to do hair and makeup and thinking everyone was laughing at me.

I can't even imagine how bad the cliques at an all girls school must be. I would have to say the toughest thing for me was not having close friends.
I had no idea there were so many of these books. I like the "shaping the new you" one.

chicken soup...a dog's life
I remember the guilt of my friend being bullied and I was too scared to really stand up for her properly. I didn't know what to say or how to deal with it because I was afraid her bullies would target me. I still think about that time and feel terrible that I didn't do more to make her feel safe or more supported. :(

I remember a guy who I swore who I was in love with (and maybe I still am) would be mean to me in front of his friends or online with his friends, but when it was just us, he was completely different. It was like he didn't want his friends knowing he was talking to me. I also remember the peer pressure to have sex. I'm so glad I made it out of high school alive and I just BARELY made it at that. I really wish that teenagers would know that it does get better and all of the stuff that everyone thinks matters in high school really doesn't once you get out.
Chicken Soup for the Soul: What I Learned from the Cat: 101 Stories about Life, Love and Lessons is another book I am interested in.
Being from a single parent family and my mother worked and went to school + I was over weight and sometimes people were not kind.
I think Grieving and Recovery sounds good, have lost some family members recently.

I live in a very religous state and my parents smoked so alot of people were not allowed to play with me because of that. really sucked as as teenagers do i held my parents responsible and had a lot of resentment toward them

Something tough I remember from being a teen was trying to find where to fit in amongst all the cliques.
