It varies a lot, how we celebrate. When our 5 kids were growing up, we always did something or other for the kids, sometimes something big and sometimes something small and same with our dates with one another and now that we are empty nesters too.
We've done huge things like the year my husband and I got our Dodge Challenger that we love and the year we took our whole family to an indoor waterpark in Frankenmuth overnight.

This year my husband and I went out this weekend to see THe Shape of Water and went out for a nice dinner to celebrate.
On Valentine's Day my husband is coming home from work an hour early and I am making a nice Valentine's dinner for him and I but I made extra for our 2 adult daughters who live nearby too & a sweet little treat.

I'm sending valentines to our other adult kids, my parents and sister.
We bought our little grandson a cute popup book that we had also bought our own kids years ago, called LOVEBUGS.
Then my husband and I are watching a romantic amazon prime movie.
So sweet but simple this year.
